This TAI CHI class is for those who want to embrace the mystical TAO, to cultivate spiritual energy in different chakras (life-force vortexes) and to lead a lifestyle that is conducive towards this cultivation.

When the movements are done correctly, a person will naturally become more calm, centered, balanced, and blissful, but the goal is actually of a much higher order. The goal is liberation from the cause of suffering. The goal is the successful compounding of reproductive energy (ching) into vital energy (ch'i), then spiritual energy (shen), then non-being or emptiness (wu chi). The goal is enlightenment.

Because the eye gazes but can catch no glimpse of it,
It is called elusive.
Because the ear listens but cannot hear it,
It is called rareified.

On the way back to where there is nothing.
They are called shapeless shapes;
Forms without form;
Are called vague semblances.
Go towards them, and you can see no front,
Go after them, and you see no rear.
Yet by seizing on the Way that was
You can ride the things that are now.
For to know what once there was, in the Beginning,
This is called the essence of the Way.

Silent Thunder is famous for its spiritually charged atmosphere. Wood floors, skyllights and undisturbed quiet are only the beginning.
