 At Silent Thunder Taekwondo, we believe you will not find a more creative, innovative, fun training scenario anywhere. But true freedom comes from discipline, so while our classes are profoundly interesting and exciting, the underlying theme of spiritual evolution through mind and body discipline using martial arts is continuously present. Our curriculum consists of much more than acrobatic kicks and tournaments. For instance, elements of Aikido, Jiu-jitsu, Karate, as well as weapons, are taught in the same class. Our rank tests include not just performance of forms, sparring, self-defense techniques, and board-breaking, but various other challenges involving blindfolds, tricks, and surprises to intrigue even those most experienced in labyrinths. Those seeking the rank of black belt must be able to run five miles in less than 40 minutes, do 100 push-ups, be familiar with Oriental philosophy, be non-smokers, and be of profound moral character, just to qualify to take the test.
